This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and has no sign-up. It handles personal data in three situations, listed below.
Who is responsible
The individual named on the page Who runs this site decides how your data is used. Contact details are on that page.
What happens to your data
When you write to us, we keep your email address and your message to answer you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to people who ask us a question. We keep the messages for 12 months after your last message. Cloudflare, which hosts this site and forwards its email, and Google, whose mail service receives the messages, process them for us.
When you type a postcode on the page When do I register, your browser sends it to the service postcodes.io, which returns the region. We do not receive or store the postcode.
Fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page opens. The ticks you make on the landlord checklist stay in your browser on your own device. We do not receive them.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Write to the email address on the page Who runs this site. You can also complain to the Information Commission, the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
